Mari Perron A Course of Love

Mari Perron is the first receiver of A Course of Love (ACOL). For almost three years Mari Perron heard an inner voice, as if dictating. She transcribed what she heard. The result, unedited, is A Course of Love. It explicitly states that it is a “continuation” of A Course in Miracles, although there is no formal connection between the two courses. Both courses were received in an identical manner. In both courses Jesus is entirely forthright about his identity as the Source.

Mari Perron grew up in a working class family in St. Paul, Minnesota. At the University of Minnesota she majored in English; as a returning adult student with three children she won the notable Jean Keller-Bouvier Award for literary accomplishment. A practicing Catholic, she felt deeply about her faith and had no particular interest in other approaches to spirituality. “I wanted to write mystery novels and smoke cigarettes and be an intellectual.” She describes herself as an “ordinary” woman.

Mari discovered A Course in Miracles in 1996. She was enthralled. Although usually Mari voraciously read many books, for two years she read little other than A Course in Miracles, many times through, especially the Text. Well over a year before she actually heard the voice, preparation had begun. Mari says:

A Course of Love began with a dream. The dream came to me in July of 1997. In the dream, I heard, You can no longer sell your mind for money. Your mind now belongs to God.

Months of soul-searching followed. Eventually Mari left her job and held herself ready—for what, she had no idea. After nine months and much financial uncertainty she considered going back to work, but an inner knowing kept telling her that she “had work to do for God.” Then her friend Mary shared a dream in which she saw “a new course in miracles.” Mari felt that somehow Mary’s dream was an announcement of the work to come—a work so monumental that Mari had been unable to accept signs that now, looking back, had pointed toward this scribing work all along. A week later, on December 1, 1998, Mari began to “hear” the voice.

As soon as I heard the familiar voice of Jesus, not as I remembered it from my youth or the Bible, but as I remembered it from many readings of A Course in Miracles, I was awestruck by the task set before me. For the next three years, I dedicated myself to receiving the three books that combine to deliver this new message.

Referring to Mari, Jesus said that “the first receiver of these words can ‘hear’ these words as thoughts. Keep in mind that she has thoughts she is not thinking.” (D:12.7)

Sebastián Blaksley is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, born in 1968 into a large traditional Catholic family. He attended the Colegio del Salvador, a Jesuit school headmastered by Jorge Bergoglio, the current Pope Francis. Although he wanted to be a monk as a young man, Sebastián’s family did not consider it acceptable, and the inner voice that he always obeyed spoke thus: “You must be in the world, without being of the world.”

He studied Business Administration in Buenos Aires and completed his postgraduate studies in the U.S. He held several highly responsible positions in well-known international corporations, living and working in the U.S., England, China, and Panama. He then founded a corporate consulting firm in Argentina that he led for 10 years.

Sebastián has two daughters with his former wife. At the age of six, Sebastián was involved in a near-fatal accident during which he heard a voice, which later identified itself as Jesus. Ever since he has continued to hear this voice. Sebastián says: “Since I can remember, I have felt the call of Jesus and Mary to live surrendered to their will. I am devoted to my Catholic faith.”In 2013, he began to record messages from his mystical experiences. In 2016 he miraculously discovered A Course of Love and felt the call to devote himself to bringing it to the Spanish-speaking world. He also now receives, transcribes, and shares what the voice of Christ-the voice of love-dictates. Most recently he has received and shared Choose Only Love, a series of seven books, The Age of the Heart, and Truly Beloved: Love Letters from the Divine Mother in You. Sebastián is the president of the nonprofit Fundación Amor Vivo, through which he shares the messages he has been receiving.

Marietta Beregi lives in Budapest, Hungary, with her family. She was born into a family of Greek Catholic priests. Spirituality has always been very important to her, including respect, love, and devotion to Mother Mary and Jesus. After graduating from a Catholic school, she obtained an advanced degree in religious studies at a college of theology, as well as advanced studies in English.

For years she taught religious education and led a youth group. She worked 18 years as a teacher before dedicating her life to her family and to raising her two children. Years of parenting served to deepen inner paths. As a spiritual self-expression, Marietta started writing poems in 2015, and in 2016 her first volume was published under the title Lanterns of Love. More recently she has been translating spiritual books also.

In the summer of 2020, while translating into Hungarian the first volume of the book series Choose Only Love by Sebastian Blaksley, she felt the presence of Mother Mary. About that unforgettable meeting she says: “Mother Mary’s being was loving and beautiful. She exuded infinite tenderness and love. Her light filled my heart and completely surrounded my physical being. I was filled with boundless happiness and profound peace, and I lingered without words in her loving embrace.”

Afterwards she felt the loving presence and guidance of Jesus as well, and she writes down his words to this day. On March 14, 2022, she started a daily chain of prayers to Mother Mary for peace in the heart and the world under the name Roses of Peace. Since 2020, Marietta has been writing Mother Mary’s messages of wisdom and love. So far, five books have been received, of which Dewdrops of Wisdom is the first to be published. She shares the inspiring and loving thoughts of Mother Mary on her website and on Facebook.
